ABOUT
Prior to founding ThreeAct Partners, Jeffrey Hirschberg’s proudest moment was winning the Brookside Elementary School Spelling Bee—obliterating his childhood rival, Leonard Presberg. After graduating from Cornell and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School, he spent ten soul-crushing years on Wall Street as a stockbroker, financial writer, and VP of marketing. Drained from overusing the word “synergy,” Jeffrey became a film professor and founding director of the Television and Film Arts program at SUNY Buffalo State University, which he launched in 2006. Hoping to impress his parents, he wrote a book on heroes and villains and directed short films and a half-hour pilot that screened at major festivals.
A WGA member, Jeffrey had a stint at NBC, sold a series to Showtime, was a winner of the WGA Screenplay Reading Series, directed the WGA's TV Pilots Resurrected program at Lincoln Center, and participated in the ABC Daytime Writer Development Program. His debut novel, COMPLETELY INCOMPLETE, arrives next year.
His home life consists of his wife, Cindy, three sons, and two poorly trained dogs—Stanley and Kirby, named after comic book legends Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
